# Packaging Module - Quick Reference

## Quick Actions

### Create Packaging Order
1. **Packaging** → **Orders** tab
2. Click **+ New Order**
3. Select product and template
4. Enter quantity, set priority
5. **Save**

### Start Packing
1. Find order (status: pending)
2. Click **Start Order**
3. Begin packing operation
4. Update **Quantity Packed** as you progress

### Complete Order
1. Verify all packages completed
2. Click **Complete Order**
3. Batch record auto-created
4. Materials stock updated

### Add Material
1. **Materials** tab → **+ Add Material**
2. Fill material details (code, name, type, cost)
3. Set stock levels (current, min, max)
4. **Save**

### Create Template
1. **Templates** tab → **+ New Template**
2. Define package type and target weight
3. Add packing instructions
4. Estimate time and cost
5. **Save**

## Order Statuses

| Status | Meaning | Next Action |
|--------|---------|-------------|
| **Pending** | Awaiting start | Start Order |
| **In-Progress** | Currently packing | Update progress / Complete |
| **Completed** | Packing done | QA inspection |
| **On-Hold** | Paused | Resume or cancel |
| **Cancelled** | Voided | Archive |

## Priority Levels

- **Urgent** 🔴 - Same-day shipping required
- **High** 🟠 - Next-day delivery
- **Normal** 🟡 - Standard schedule
- **Low** 🟢 - Fill-in work

## Material Types

### By Category
- **Primary** - Direct contact with product (bags, trays, films)
- **Secondary** - Outer packaging (boxes, cartons)
- **Tertiary** - Transport packaging (pallets, stretch film)

### Common Materials
- **Boxes**: 5kg, 10kg, 15kg export cartons
- **Bags**: 500g, 1kg, 5kg (PE, mesh, vacuum)
- **Trays**: PET trays, foam trays for delicate items
- **Labels**: Barcode, product info, regulatory
- **Films**: Stretch wrap, cling film
- **Accessories**: Tape, pallets, liners

## Package Types

- **Retail** - Consumer-ready packs (500g, 1kg)
- **Bulk** - Wholesale boxes (5kg, 10kg, 15kg)
- **Export** - International shipment (certified cartons)
- **Custom** - Special requirements

## Key Metrics

### Performance Dashboard
- **Packages/Hour**: Target 15-50 depending on complexity
- **Downtime**: Keep under 10% of shift
- **Waste**: Target < 2%
- **Quality Issues**: Zero tolerance for shipments

### Materials Management
- **Low Stock Alert**: Below minimum threshold (red badge)
- **Reorder Point**: When stock < minimum
- **Stock Turns**: Track usage vs. inventory value

## Common Workflows

### Daily Packing Routine

During Packing:
5. Update progress regularly

End of Shift:

### Material Restocking

1. Select export template
2. Verify phytosanitary requirements

## Keyboard Shortcuts

## Red Flags 🚩

- Material stock at zero during active order
- Orders pending beyond scheduled end time
- Packages packed > packages required
- Quality check skipped on export batches
- Downtime > 20% on any shift
- Waste > 5% consistently

## Quick Stats Location

**Dashboard Cards** (top of each tab):
- Orders tab: Active orders, completion rate, avg time
- Materials tab: Total materials, low stock count, total value
- Batches tab: Total batches, packages today, pending QA
- Performance tab: Today's output, efficiency, avg waste
